Ragnarok - Prelude 3

"Wtf happened to you?"

date: March 19, 2009

I agree with NewgroundsSurfer08 YOU have TALENT. I watched these in 06 and its 09 now. You submitted this almost exactly 4 years ago. 2 or 3 weeks? Really? Atleast finish your series. Thats so messed up to just show people 3 amazing flashes then dont give them a finale or anything? What a disappointment? Are you really gonna do that to everyone on NG waiting for it to come out? If so atleast say so? Dont let everyone new who watches it for the first time get their hopes up unless your gonna follow through. "if time permits" my ass-you really had no time at all in 4 years? Your either got yourself in hella trouble, or your a lazy bastard, either one- ive lost the respect i gained 3 years ago.

Days 2 Die

"Good ---but nothing special bout it"

submission: Days 2 Die
date: March 19, 2009

This game was fun n all, but it didnt have its own uniqueness that has to separate it from the rest of the zombie shooters. Just like all the others it has barricades and all these popular guns + chainsaw. Its all been done before. If you want to make another zombie survival game it has to be unique in its own awesome way. Something special about it that draws it from the rest of them. If this was the first time i played a zombie survival i wouldve gave it an 8, but this whole thing felt like i was re-playing a old one with different graphics on it. Near the end of the game the enemies got so strong that if u were near one it was instantaneous death. I guess one could argue its more realistic, but it was crappy if your mercenaries died since thats like 10k+ your never gonna see again. Its like buying 15 dynamites and throwing them at a wall. This was mostly cus you get hit by multiple enemies at the same time-which in most games doesnt happen because you start flashing and turn invincible for a short period of time after you get hurt. It was also annoying that if i wanted to stand on barricades, i had to click start then jump on the barricades(ocassionally geting stuck on the edge or mercenaries not making it up there leaving them to die) And after me and the mercenaries get up there. They start jumping up and down the whole time their up there cus their so happy they finally made it up. Why cant you tell them to stay/follow after you click start? Why were there only 2 barricades you could use at a time? Can you get refunded the money for the barricades you dont get a chance to sell when moving from place to place?

BO: Secret of Steel Demo

"Good-but the real game better be better"

date: March 19, 2009

i love the controls and everything. i love how there are two types of slashes (one that you hold down for a little longer) but i think the rage instant killer thing should be on a sepearte key. Many times i tried to just do to a strong slash and ended up wasting it. it wasnt vital to survival-just annoying as hell. I love the creativity of it as well as the artwork and-as someone said- the crows. It was cool that killing the crows would give you more rage. This game definately needs a block key. Instead of just parrying. The two slashes could be on different keys. Speed needs to be upgraded too- either that or my cp is extremely laggy. Jumps take so long that by the time your at the end of it- the enemy alraedy is underneath waiting. And it would be nice to beable to do multiple slashes in mid-air. There should be the ability to turn in midair so that you wont face your back to your enemy if you try to jump over them. I love how you could flip them and kick them and stun them then finish them off. The barrels were great in all, but the explosive ones are annoying. Mainly because you cant tell their explosive until they blow up in your face. Is there a TnT sticker on it that i cant see or something?
So far this game is really simple-4 keys to play. But i can imagine this game being alow more complex with different combinations between weak and strong slashes. i can also see it having some RPG attributes such as level ups and upgrades. This is good- but thats only cus its a demo and i would expect alot more things to be added.

Bloody Fun Day

"Fun--but over time got old"

submission: Bloody Fun Day

The game was really fun in the begining, but got too easy after you learned some strategies. It was really easy to just dont kill any reds until your almost dead. Using the skill to change their color often so you get more reds. Near your death you end up with like 15-20 reds and just use the double soul skill on a red giving you a max bar. Then repeat. I loved the skills that you could use, and i think this game could be alot better if there were more modes and different map shapes on it-not just a square/rectangle. The golden eggs seemed over powered. Thanks for a fun hour or so.

Death vs. Monstars

"Excellent, but not as good as it can be"

submission: Death vs. Monstars
date: March 18, 2009

This game was extremely addictive and fun as well as challenging at some points. However there wasnt much in it. It was extremely simple which made it easy to play, yet not over a long period of time. This game can be expanded and improved by alot and hopefully it will in the future.
I agree with DeathSpawn1 it would be awsome to beable to upgrade some helpers to go around. Alot of the money disappeared before you could get to it.
I, personally love the controls. The Original controls were really easy to pick up and sufficient to use-but these are alot better when you get the hang of it. When i first tried it i imagined using the left hand more for different powers and skills though which would be easier than with the original controls.
Some tips to use these controls better are to remember that the reticule is always pointed the opposite way you are moving. So if you want to aim at someone you usually have to turn away from them, hold down the left button to "strafe" which locks the reticule in that place basically. Its useful to play around with this constantly and do things such as "shotguning" them by shooting at them while moving towards them making your shots clump up in a pile doing a large amount of damage in one hit. Against a wave of non-range attackers its easy to do that to form a wall in front of you protecting you-then turn around to shoot them as you go through their line. Just like with old controls you are fully capable of circling the enemy and shooting them at the same time if you know when to let go of strafe and rehold it. Berserk actually turns ranged shots coming at you into money coming at you which should make you be more selective when to use it so you also gain money in the process. (most of these techniques are best used with the strongest weapon)
This is a very unique game that seems like it combines some of the weapons and techniques from bubble tanks... and mixing it with a fast-paced game like geometry wars. I hope to see a Death vs Monstars 2 or something in the future.

Destroy All Zombies III

"Fun, but not enough"

date: December 13, 2008

It was a really fun game loved all the different weapons and the leveling of them was great also. However it was WAY to easy. I ended up beating the final boss with the machine gun. All the attacks were easy to dodge too. I imagined the bosses attack to be much more harder to dodge. Such as the spikes, i thought the bosses would have like 5 spikes shooting out like a shotgun or shooting out in all directions. I thought the bosses would have more than just one or two skills. This was fun, but it could be ALOT better

Xeno Tactic 2

"this isnt xeno"

submission: Xeno Tactic 2
date: December 8, 2008

xeno tactic was fun because you could make a maze and quickly delete and build stuff to juggle them back and forth throughout the maze. THAT is what made if fun, but this, this killed it, i cant even consider this xeno tactic. I hope you make an actual xeno tactic 2 instead of whatever this is supposed to be. True the graphics are better, but does that really matter when the game play is dead? I imagined this as the first one plus better graphics and new enemies with their own characteristics/behavior some new maps that arent all square and maybe more than just 2 enemy lines. I guess i was wrong. Nice try?

Guitar Geek

"Decent yet better than others"

submission: Guitar Geek
date: December 4, 2008

The game was okay. The hardest mode felt more like a medium. There should be holds and a quality button. The songs wasnt challenging mostly because of how simple it was. There wasnt any holds in it and the double note werent mixed in with the singles making it easy to decipher. However compared to other rhythm games this is actually well made.

Noidzor 2

"Noidzor 1 was awsome, this is incredible"

submission: Noidzor 2
date: December 3, 2008

I remember playing the first Noidzor when it came out on a different site, i loved the twist between a old game like Arkanoid with RPG elements. I didnt know that was even possible. It gave a whole new way to control the ball giving a whole new strategy. In this one literally everything has been improved for the better. All the skills could be used in their own unique way. The healing ones got a little annoying because of how they could heal themselves too and at some points it took forever to kill the combination of a healing one and a spawning one. Also i didnt like how you didnt heal at all in between rounds, in order not to die i had to leave one or two healing guys at the end and just go get a cookie or something as i heal then when im full i just kill them. The new ability to dash brung a whole new pace to the game even though sometimes dashing through a shot would stll hurt you.
